The Kris Flyer program is the basic program meant for the frequent flyers using the airlines. If a customer travels more using the airline and is already a member of the basic program then the program can be upgraded to the Elite Silver and the Elite Gold levels. There are a range of varied benefits available to the fliers under each of these categories. These benefits also vary as per the nature of the arrangements which the Singapore Air has with the other airline partners.

In case the traveler is traveling by the Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Star Alliance Airlines, SilkAir and Virgin Australia, the Kris Flyer is eligible only for earning and redeeming the miles for various travel awards. However, the Kris Elite Silver member is additionally eligible for the priority airport standby services provided by the airlines. But, the Silver members do not get this facility on the Virgin Atlantic or Virgin Australia airlines. The KrisElite Gold members have the additional facility of increased check-in baggage allowance, priority airport check-in, priority boarding and priority baggage handling. However, the priority airport standby facility is not available to Gold members for the Virgin Australia airlines.

For the travelers using the Singapore Air, SilkAir and Star Alliance airlines, all three types of Kris flyers are eligible for earning qualifying miles which can upgrade their status to the next higher level. The Silver and Gold members additionally get the priority in the waiting list of the airline. This facility proves to be of good help on the busy routes.

The Kris Silver and Kris Gold members get the 25% tier bonus on miles flown when they fly on Singapore Air, SilkAir and Virgin Atlantic flights. This benefit is not available to the basic Kris flyer.

The Kris Elite Gold members can also avail the benefit of lounge access of the Star Alliance Gold, the Virgin Australia and the SilkAir. A guest can also be invited provided he or she is accompanied by the Gold member using the Singapore and Star Alliance, Virgin Australia airline and the SilkAir airlines respectively on same day.

All the three categories of the frequently flying customers using the Singapore Air and the SilkAir also earn the PPS value for their PPS Club status.

For the travelers who fly frequently on the premier classes of these airlines, there are the PPS club and the Solitaire PPS Club memberships with a range of on-air and off-air benefits.
